Installation. Art. Objects.
Materiality. Behaviour. Experimental.
Below is a collage of images showing objects that have been created in this learning process. When a project requires a bespoke light fitting, an art piece or sculptural furniture, we pick the right material and start creating! We are always excited to create smaller spaces, furniture pieces, sculptures. Installations as art or as an archway, objects that fit into the existing fabric, traditional bricks that bring warmth to a room or pure experiments with lighting and facades.

My interest in Materials developed during the Masters in Digital Architecture Programme at Bartlett School of Architecture. At Bartlett we explored the process of design and fabrication using the latest digital tools and technology. We researched on the applications of 3D printing into architecture.
During our research in London we challenged the advanced technology of Metal 3D printing for it's high energy consumption with the age old technique of metal casting. Getting the feel of casting aluminium and bronze into bespoke 3d printed pieces and trying to understand the complexity and behaviour of this material led me to play with more materials on my return to India.
I completed the beginners glass blowing workshop at the Rural modern glass studio, Mumbai. Handling liquid glass and trying to create something within the timeframe of state change from molten to brittle while being dictated by gravity is a very intuitive process. Herein one can experience creative freedom within boundaries set by time and temperature.
Further I dug my hands into Earth at Vanamu, Bengaluru. The history of Earth Architecture is truly unbelievable and an eye opener. Ever thought how the pyramids of Egypt were built?
Maybe may of the old monuments we know of were formed and not carved! One of the techniques used for forming Earth is by ramming it. The beauty of rammed earth has recently been brought into light. It is not only the beauty but it's hygroscopic nature which brings many more advantages for building in the tropical regions.
